Lagos: KTM Foundation screens 70 residents for TB and HIV in Apapa outreach
Portable X-ray and rapid testing turned up nine presumptive tuberculosis cases in a single day of outreach, with samples now at Apapa General Hospital for confirmation.
The Lagos State KTM Foundation, working alongside the Center for Health and Social Relief, held a community health outreach in Apapa on Monday, bringing health education, vital signs screening, and portable digital X-ray testing directly to residents who might otherwise go without them.
By the end of the day, the team had screened 70 people, run laboratory tests for HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis, and used a portable digital X-ray unit to check dozens of residents for signs of tuberculosis.
